What started as college sweethearts turned into young professionals and husband and wife at a very personalized and sweet ceremony in St. Petersburg Florida. Chase and Jess were very careful with their wedding planning because they wanted the details to be special to them. They had their ceremony with the gorgeous waterfront as the view since they enjoy boating on their days off. You may remember seeing the St. Pete sunset engagement session, here.

The Wedding Details

Jess wanted to incorporate her mother’s wedding dress and veil so she had the fabric from her mother’s dress custom altered with a modern twist into a chic sheeth style. The veil was shortened and attached to a simple headband.

Their ceremony was short and sweet with Jess’s dad as the officiant and the traditional jewish custom of breaking the glass. The backyard ceremony commenced with a brunch for immediate family.

Following the waterfront ceremony, the wedding reception was held at Red Mesa in St. Pete. They loved the brick surrounding the building and the urban feel. Also, Red Mesa has great food so it’s easy for all of the wedding guests to get a great meal! The Red Mesa reception was decorated with long tables for guests and greenery with white flowers and gold plates. A very classy yet neat set-up.

The wedding cake was only used for cutting, but guests got to enjoy a great dessert spread set up by Wandering Whisk with macarons, s’mores parfaits, cookies, and mini cupcakes. The cutest touch was including their dogs on the cake! Their two labs couldn’t make the event, but they made sure to have little figures of each dog on the wedding cake.

Incorporating the waterfront and the urban event space at Red Mesa was a wonderful way to get all of their favorite parts of St. Pete into a celebration.

I couldn’t be happier for these two!
